The original Apple iPad was released on April 3, 2010 in Apple and select Best Buy stores. Despite the delayed release (as is common with Apple products) units quickly sold out across the country. However, customers could order online and generally recieved their unit within two weeks. The 3G version of the iPad was released in the United States on April 30th.
